Compass Toolkit

Effective July 19, 2026. Compass Toolkit is designed to be private by default. This policy explains what the app does — and, more importantly, what it does not do — with your information.

The short version

We do not collect, sell, share, or track any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. Your content is yours.

Your content

Compass Toolkit keeps everything you create on your device. Nothing you create is sent to us or to any third party, and the app does not require an account or an internet connection.

Compass Toolkit works offline and keeps your data on your device. Your location, coordinates and waypoints stay on your device and are never sent to us or anyone else. The app has no account, no analytics and no tracking. The compass, coordinates, altitude, bubble level and sun & moon times all run entirely on-device with no signal; only the waypoint map fetches Apple map tiles when you have a connection — that request goes to Apple to draw the map and carries no personal data about you. Nothing you track is ever uploaded.

What we collect

Nothing. Compass Toolkit does not collect any data from you, and no data is transmitted to fnstudio. Because we collect nothing, there is nothing for us to sell, share, or hand over.

Permissions

Compass Toolkit only asks for a permission at the moment it is needed, and only for the feature you are using:

Location — used on-device to show your compass heading, GPS coordinates, altitude, sun & moon times and to place your waypoints. Your location is never uploaded to us or any third party.

Children's privacy

Compass Toolkit does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
