Waypoint: Location Snapshot

Effective July 16, 2026. Waypoint: Location Snapshot is designed to be private by default. This policy explains what the app does — and, more importantly, what it does not do — with your information.

The short version

We do not collect, sell, share, or track any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. Your content is yours.

Your content

Waypoint: Location Snapshot can sync your own content (the data you create in the app) to your private iCloud database using Apple's CloudKit, so it stays in step across your iPhone and iPad. This data lives in your iCloud account under your Apple ID — it is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and we have no access to it. iCloud sync is optional; with it off, everything stays on your device.

Location coordinates you save stay in your own private iCloud database (or on-device); they are never sent to us or any third party. Camera and photo access are used only to attach imagery to the places you save.

What we collect

Nothing. Waypoint: Location Snapshot does not collect any data from you, and no data is transmitted to fnstudio. Because we collect nothing, there is nothing for us to sell, share, or hand over.

Permissions

Waypoint: Location Snapshot only asks for a permission at the moment it is needed, and only for the feature you are using:

Camera — to photograph a place when you capture it (only while capturing).
Photo Library (add) — to save a place's photo you choose from your library.
Location (when in use) — to auto-fill a place's coordinates as you save it.

Children's privacy

Waypoint: Location Snapshot does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
